1. Tujuan Komunikatif Teks(Communicative Purpose)
Menyampaikan informasi tentang sesuatu, sebagai hasil pengamatan atau analisis.

2. Struktur Teks (Text Structure)
• General Classification (Pernyataan umum yang menerangkan subjek laporan, keterangan dan klasifikasi tujuan kegiatan) 
• Deskripsi tentang laporan tersebut


3. Ciri Kebahasaan

• General Nouns (Kata Kerja Umum) Contoh : Reptil in Comodo Islan.
• Relating Verbs untuk menjelaskan ciri. Contoh : Reptile are scaly animal
• Section Vebs untuk menjelaskan perilaku. Contoh : Lizards can't fly. 
• Simple Present Tense 
• Istilah Teknis. Contoh : Water countains oxygen and hydrogen.

Procedure (Prosedur)

1.    Tujuan Komunikatif
Untuk memberi petunjuk tentang cara melakukan sesuatu melalui serangkaian langkah.

2.    Stuktur Teks (text Structure)

• Goal (Tujuan Prosedur).
• Materials (Bahan yang digunakan dalam memberi petunjuk).
• Steps (Langkah langkah).

3.    Ciri Kebahasaan (Lexica Grammatical)

• Pola kalimat Imperative (Penting). Contoh : Cut, Don't mix.
• Action Verbs. Contoh : Turn, put. 
• Connectives untuk mengurutkan kejadian. Contoh : Then, While. 
• Adverbials untuk menyatakn waktu, tempat atau seuatu cara. Contoh : for five minutes, there.

4.   Contoh Text Procedure :

Shirmp Ball Soup

First, chop up shrimp and add seasoning. Mix until pasty. Then, cut Mushrooms into peaces and celery into short lengths. Roll shrimp mixture into balls. Next, pour broth into pot and bring to bail. Add shrimp balls and cook for 8 minutes. After that, add straw mushrooms and carrot. When broth begins to bail again, add the seasoning. Finally, serve it in a serving bowl.

Sop Udang! Pertama, potong udang dan tambahkan bumbu. Aduk sampai pucat. Lalu, potong Jamur ke potongan dan seledri ke dalam panjang pendek. Gulung adonan menjadi bola udang. Berikutnya, tuangkan kaldu ke dalam panci dan membawa untuk menyelamatkan. Tambahkan bola udang dan masak selama 8 menit. Setelah itu, tambahkan jamur jerami dan wortel. Ketika kaldu mulai bail lagi, tambahkan bumbu. Akhirnya, melayani dalam mangkuk saji.

• Background event (Latar belakang, tempat, waktu dan orang yang terlibat dalam berita).
• Sources (Sumber informasi)

3.    Ciri Kebahasaan (Lexica Grammtical)

• Informasi menggunakan Action verbs, saying verbs. Contoh : Say, tell.Menggunakan kata keterangan . Contoh : badly injured.

4.    Contoh News Item (Berita) :

       The action Commitee for social security said thursday that as many as 50.000 people would rally at Hotel Indonesia circle and Presidential Palce on saturday to commemorate International Labour day that will fall on may 1.
       The demontrators will be made up of civil sociaty and worker elements from greater Jakarta, Banten , West Java, Central Java, and East Java.
The secretary general of the commitee, said Iniesta, said that the demonstrators wpould demand that government apply the national social security system as stipulated in law No. 40/2004.
      "The government shuld provide social security to every single citizen of the country," He told reporters.
      A lawmaker from the Indonesian Democtratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Xavi Hernandes said that the national socia insurance should cover health insurance, a monthly pension upon retirement, insurance for workers, work accident insurance and life insurance.
      "We are n ow working to pass teh social insurance management  agency (BPJS) as a non profit agency, which will apply the social security system, "She said.

1.   Tujuan Komunikatif Teks (Communicative Purpose)
Untuk menghibur pendengar atau pembaca (To entartain listener or reader).

2.   Struktur Teks (Text Stucture)

• Orientation (Pengenalan tokoh, tempat, dan waktu).
• Complication (Konflik).
• Resolution (Penyelesaian konflik)

3.  Ciri Kebahasaan (Lexica Grammatical)

• Nouns (Kata Benda) sebagai kata ganti orang, ewan dan benda tertentu dalam cerita. Contoh : Stepsister, house work.
• Adjectives (Kata sifat) Contoh : hard, good.
• Time Connectives and Conjuction sebagai untuk mengurutkan kejadian. Contoh : That, soon, then, before.
• Adverbs sebagai untuk menunjukan lokasi kejadian. Contoh : Here, There. 
• Simple Past Tense.
• Saying Verbs sebagai untuk menandai ucapan. Contoh : Said, Told.

 Rabbit and Bear

Once upon a time, there lived as neighbours, a bear and a rabbit. The rabbit is a good shot. In contrary, the bear is always clumsy ad could not use the arrow to good advantage.

One day, the bear called over the rabbit and asked the rabbit to take his bow and arrows and came with bear to the other side of the hill. The rabbit was fearing to arouse the bear's anger so he could not refuse it. He consented and went with the bear and shot enough buffalo to satisfy the hungry family. Indeed he shot and killed so many that there was lots of meat left after the bear and his family had loaded themselves and packed all they could carry home.

The bear was very gluttonous and did not want the rabbit to get any of the meat. Th e rabbit could not even taste the blood from the butchering as the bear would throw earth on the blood and dry it up. The poor rabbit would have to go home hungry after his hard day's work.

The bear was the father of five children. The youngest child was very kind to the rabbit. He was very hearty eater. The mother bear always gave him an extra large piece of meat but the youngest child did not eat it. He would take it outside with him and pretended to play ball with the meat. He kicked toward the rabbit's house and when he got close to the door he would give the meat with such a great kick. The meat would fly into the rabbit's house. In this way, the poor rabbit would get his meal unknown to the papa bear.
